Located in a prominent intersection in Colombo, this restaurant building maintains a dialogue with the street while providing a secluded interior for its patrons. Design brief required an open plan restaurant within two floors along with private dining rooms, kitchens and washrooms. An expressive facade is maintained at the front which highlights over other restaurants. Laser-cut screens with traditional Chinese geometric patterns provides interest to the facade & an added sense of privacy while offering a view to the streets. Materials such as rustic stone finishes, black matt tiles & a black ceiling adds drama to the interior ambience & a sense of intimacy.
